"I am excited about the diversity initiative of the Arkansas Regional Minority Supplier Development Council. For a number of years my corporation and others have contributed to this great organization, allowing it to survive while providing a tremendous service and creating greater diversity and economic development in our community."

Jack Fleischauer, President/CEO, Regions Bank

Corporations are realizing the need for greater diversity contracting for a number of reasons, including compliance with laws and regulations, broader public support, quality goods and services, lower costs, and socioeconomic benefits. The mission of the Arkansas Regional Minority Supplier Development Council (AMMBC) is to promote the development of business opportunities between Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs), corporations, and governmental agencies.

AMMBC's purpose is to create maximum opportunities for corporate members and certified vendors to meet, network, interact and develop meaningful business partnerships and enter into contractual procurement relations. AMMBC provides a number of services to accomplish its mission, including:

  • Certification of MBEs;
  • Facilitation of business and contract opportunities between minority vendors and the business community;
  • MBE training workshops;
  • Networking opportunities, including an annual Business Opportunity Trade Fair;
  • Technical assistance to MBEs provided at no charge; and
  • Advocacy efforts for MBEs with government and private industry.

There are many invaluable benefits to corporate membership. Corporate members receive major exposure and recognition, including television, radio and print advertising, and premium participation in a number of events, including the Minority Business Opportunity Fair. In addition, sponsoring organizations receive a seat on the AMMBC Executive Advisory Board and may participate in the annual Minority Legislative Retreat.

Please review the levels of corporate membership brochure which detail the many benefits of becoming a corporate sponsor. Your organization's commitment to greater contracting diversity and your participation in this five-year effort is critical to our shared interests in increasing diversity and establishing meaningful business partnerships between corporations and MBEs.
